Gift Ideas for a Handmade Mothers Day - Week 5

Week 5 of the Mother’s Day Countdown 2018, hosted by Julie of Blue Morning Expressions on her The Blu Print blog, has sped right on by.  Fifteen handmade artisans shared a total of 44 beautiful items. Since Mother's Day will be here before you know it, on Sunday, May 13, this is the perfect time to start making a list of gift ideas / buying a gift for your Mom.  Browse all the wonderfully unique shares for this week, many of them one of a kind designs, visit the shops of the artists featured and buy your Mom something that was HANDMADE from the heart.

Three for Thursday - Artisan Handmade

As I was toying around with the idea for a new set of blog posts, Three for Thursday became an “Aha!” moment.  My plan is to feature three items from three handmade artists in each post, hopefully at least twice a month.  The items will be wide ranging from a variety of materials, most, but not all, one of a kind beauties.  In this inaugural post, the artists I have chosen are:  Mary of PrettyGonzo; Jacki of Christie Cottage; and me, Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs.  If something catches your eye, please be sure to click on the photo or the link below the picture to be taken to the item for more photos and information.  I hope you enjoy the unique artisan handmade items featured below:

Handmade Earrings and Necklaces, New Designs from Shadow Dog Designs

I have been really busy making and listing new earrings and necklaces these last two weeks, mostly earrings, it seems.  Have been enthralled with two new artists I have found and buy jewelry components from.  One creates pieces from recycled tea or cookie tins.  The pieces are whimsical and very light in weight.  Another creates amazing polymer clay pieces, some with a technique called embroidered polymer clay - very intricate and time consuming.  I have one pair of earrings from each artist in the beauties shared below.  There are seven new creations; the last three are wonderful oldies but goodies to round out the number to an even ten.

New Handmade Earrings and One Necklace by Shadow Dog Designs - Jewelry Gift Ideas

It has been a month since the last time my newest handmade jewelry was shared.  A week stay in Dallas at the beginning of the month and then a glorious week stay in Oregon last week definitely cut into my creative time.  But I came back filled with all sorts of new jewelry ideas - I just hope the Muses are inspired, as well!
