Make It a Handmade Mothers Day - Artisan Gifts - Week 4

It's hard to believe that Week 4 of the Countdown to Mother's Day 2024 Week 4 has come . . . and gone so quickly!  We're near the end of March with Easter next Sunday, March 31.  But the Countdown to Mother's Day 2024 doesn't take a break!  The fun Countdown, hosted by Julie and Harry of Blue Morning Expressions on their Buy Handmade from Makers blog, is the place where artisans come together and share three of their unique items.  This week 13 artists shared a total of 38 lovely items - each one a perfect gift for Mother’s Day.  Since Mom's day will be here before you know it, this is the perfect time to start thinking about and buying a gift(s) for your Mom, grandmother, aunties and other much loved women.  Be sure to browse all the wonderful handmade / designed shares for Week 4, visit the shops of the artists featured and buy  a unique beauty that was artisan made from the heart.  This year, definitely Make it a Handmade Mother's Day!

Make It an Artisan Handmade Christmas - Favorites - Week 12, 2023

Tick . . . tick . . . tick . . . tick . . . tick.   According to the Your Christmas Countdown Clock  there is only 11 days until Christmas is here!  It’s hard to believe that almost two weeks have already gone by here in December, and, with it, the last week of the Countdown to Christmas 2023.  The Countdown has been graciously hosted all these 12 weeks (and many years) by Julie and Harry of Blue Morning Expressions on their Buy Handmade from Makers blog. Yes, Week 12 has come and gone and 30 artisan handmade / desogned items from ten artists were left in its wake.  Any of the beauties will be perfect for a Christmas gift, one that was carefully created from the heart.  Support independent artists by helping Santa make it a HANDMADE CHRISTMAS this year!

In addition to promoting each handmade item from the Countdown collection to my "Countdown to a Handmade Christmas 2023" Pinterest board and on my Twitter feed, I decided to share one item from each of the artists who participated this week.  Here are my "favorites" picks of the items - hard to choose!  I hope you enjoy these unique items!

Make It an Artisan Handmade Christmas - Favorites - Week 11, 2023

It's hard to believe that Week 11 of the Countdown to Christmas 2023 has already come and gone . . . . and there is only ONE more week left of the promotion!  When the Countdown starts, the end of the twelve weeks seems a looooong way off. Then - BAM! - here it is!  With Christmas just 18 days away, where does the time go? The ever ticking Your Christmas Countdown Clock doesn’t let up - those seconds just keep ticking down until the jolly man in red and white arrives.  Since the holiday gift giving season is lurking just around the corner, Julie and Harry of Blue Morning Expressions are once again hosting a twelve-week Countdown to Christmas 2023 of artisan handmade / designed items on their Buy Handmade from Makers blog.  The Countdown is the place for handmade artists to share three of their beautiful (often one of a kind) creations. This week ten artists shared 30 items, a wide range of beautiful gift ideas:  jewelry of all styles, ornaments, gift card holders, sweatshirts gearheads, lampwork glass beads, watercolor art prints and many other unique items.  Need a perfect start or end to your holiday shopping?  Shop the Countdown to Christmas; browse and purchase that special piece for that special person!  An excellent rule of thumb to follow this holiday season: SHOP EARLY, SHOP OFTEN!  And, most of all, SHOP HANDMADE to support small, independent artisan shops!

In addition to promoting each handmade item from the Countdown collection to my "Countdown to a Handmade Christmas 2023" Pinterest board and on my Twitter feed, I decided to share one item from each of the artists who participated this week.  Here are my "favorites" picks of the items - hard to chose!  I hope you enjoy these unique items!

Halloween and Day of the Dead - Artisan Handmade - 2023

Halloween and Day of the Dead / Dia de los Muertos will be here before we know it!  To get the word out about all of the spooky goodies in our artisan shops, please share two Halloween inspired items.  They don't have to be actuall Halloween items but can be the colors of orange, black and brown usually associated with Halloween, Dia de los Muertos and autumn.  The InLinkz is open now and will close this Friday, September 15, at 12:00 p.m. MDST.  I hope to have the blog out by Sunday sometime so it can be promoted on the Monday Twotter Tree.

Christmas in July 2023

If you would like to participate in the “Christmas in July” promotion, share two of your items to the InLinkz below.  Please make one “Christmasy” either in design, colors, etc.  The other doesn’t have to be a Christmas design . . . but it can be if you want.  If you do participate, please promote all items on at least two social media sites.  And do the same for the blog I'll pull together featuring your items by the end of next week.  Please tag with #ChristmasInJuly if you tweet out the items so they can be easily found and RTd.  The InLinkz ends this Wednesday, July 12, at 5:00 MDST.   I hope to have the blog finished for Friday’s Twitter Tree.   I look forward to seeing your wonderful items!

Spring Flowers - Artisan Handmade

Spring will be here before we know it.  Hurray!!!  Since I have majorly itchy fingers to start planting flowers other than violas and pansies, I thought a blog featuring floral items would be cheerful.  If you would like to participate, please share two items that have a flower theme.  The link up closes this Saturday, February 18, at 12:00 noon MST.  I plan to have the blog ready to be promoted on Monday’s Twitter Tree.  If you do participate, you know the drill . . . please promote each item and the blog on at least 2 social media sites.  It would be wonderful if you promote from both the link up AND the blog (that’s what I’ll be doing).  But if you are only going to promote once, please wait for the actual blog to come out.  I look forward to seeing what you share!

Halloween - Spooky Artisan Handmade Goodies - 2022

Halloween will soon be here, a little more than six weeks away!  It’s a favorite day / evening for many with a steady stream of trick or treaters in creepy or cute costumes, grinning skulls, Jack O’ Lantern pumpkins, spooky ghosts and other notorious beasts.  During the weeks before October 31, it’s fun to wear spooky accessories or decorate the home for Halloween. With that in mind, handmade artist friends were invited to share two Halloween-type items - whether symbolic or filled with the traditional colors or both.  You’ll see a wide variety of spine-tingling jewelry, eye-catching photography, fun party items, a cute baby gift set, an orange cat print, unique lampwork glass beads and your choice of sugar skull pincushions.  Each one of these handmade beauties, many of which are one of a kind pieces, are perfect to help celebrate that supernatural day of the year.  I hope you enjoy these choices and will visit the shops of the talented artists featured for more amazing handmade beauties, some shuddersome and some not!
