Christmas in July 2026 - Artisan Handmade Gifts - Week 1

Every year, Christmas seems to arrive earlier and earlier. Because of this, it’s never too early to start shopping for those perfect holiday gifts! Believe it or not, the jolly man in red and his reindeer will show up in a little less than 6 months - actually 169 days (from when this blog was posted) according to the ever ticking CHRISTMAS CLOCK.
Christmas in July has become a big thing in brick and mortar stores, with on line stores and all over social media. So I decided to host a social media promotion: Christmas In July 2026 - Artisan Handmade Gifts here in my Shadow Dog Designs - Jewelry shop. Artist friends were asked to share four items - one that is “Christmasy” (in design or colors, etc.) and three others that don’t have to be / or can be, their decision. Each week, one item will be showcased in a new blog. This is the first blog post featuring a Christmasy item from each artist. Since many of these beauties are one of a kind, be sure to shop early (and often) so you don’t miss out. And please visit the shops of the featured artisans for even more wonderful creations that are handmade / designed from the heart. Hopefully one or more items featured here, on the next three blogs or in the artisans’ shops will make it onto your shopping basket. Buy for a loved one . . . and treat yourself! Christmas Open House: Shop Local this Holiday Season!

This coming weekend, December 6 and 7, 2025, Nina Eaton of Nina Eaton Photography is hosting a Christmas Open House. And she invited me participate again! THANK YOU, Nina!! In addition, another friend, Callie, will be joining us with her homemade natural skin care items. If you are finishing up your holiday shopping (or haven't even started yet!) or need unique stocking stuffers, stop by for a wide assortment of gifts. Nina will have a large selection of her award winning El Paso photography: matted and gallery wrap prints, stone coasters, trivets, calendars, mouse pads and other photographic beauties. Callie will bring a selection of her amazing natural skin care items. FYI, I use one of her body butters, "Suave Spice," almost every day. This coming weekend, December 7 and 8, 2024, Nina Eaton of Nina Eaton Photography is hosting a Christmas Open House. And she invited me to participate in it again! THANK YOU, Nina!! If you are finishing up your holiday shopping, or haven't even started yet(!), or need unique stocking stuffers, stop by for a wide assortment of unique gifts. Nina will have a wonderful selection of her award winning El Paso photography: matted and gallery wrap prints, note cards, stone coasters, trivets, calendars, mouse pads, and other photographic beauties. Here we are at the last full week og July! How does the time go by so quickly??? This is the last full week, Week 5 of the Christmas in July 2024. Since Santa and his merry bunch of reindeer will visit before we know it, it’s never too early to start shopping for unique holiday gifts for a loved one. There are now only 152 days to Christmas (from when this blog was posted) according to the ever ticking CHRISTMAS CLOCK.
Artist friends were asked to participate in a “Christmas in July” promotion, sharing three of their favorite items - one that was “Christmasy” (in design or colors, etc.) and two others that didn’t have to be. The first week was only Christmas items - the weeks since have been a mixture. Since I miscalculated the number of weeks, a Week 5 was added where friends shared one more item of their choice. Many of these beauties are one of a kind, so be sure to shop early (and often) so you don’t miss out. And please visit the shops of the artists for even more wonderful items that are handmade / designed from the heart.
