Spring Flowers - Artisan Handmade - Three for Thursday

Happiness held is the seed; Happiness shared is the flower . . . John Harrigan

If you are a flower gardener (like I am) and grow many flowers from seeds, you truly understand the above statement.  So much beauty is bound up in a single flower seed which, like magic, can transform into a breathtaking flower.  I find happiness in just holding flower seeds and dreaming of the infinite possibility of what they will become. And when that magic happens - a seedling appears, a plant grows, a bud unfurls and a flower faces the sun - I am truly happy, awe struck and humbled.  And if I can share those flowers with family and friends, so much the better.

Thinking of Mr. Harrigan’s words, I decided today’s Artisan Handmade - Three for Thursday, will feature spring flowers.  Much like a flower seed, the seed of an idea started in an artist’s head to create and “grow” such beautiful floral adornments.  Three items from three artists are featured today, all are handmade and have a flower as an integral part of the design. The three artists are:  Linda of VictorianStyleTreasures; Pamela of MagdaleneKnits; and me, Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs. I hope you enjoy the flower beauties.

Spring Flowers Blog

Catherine thank you for including three of my items in your blog. I love the John Harrigan statement. I was outside working on planting flowers in my yard today. The only thing is I don't plant by seed, I cheat and buy the plant. I love how beautiful the flowers are and how they make you feel.

I am off to share.

Thans, Linda!

Glad to share your floral lovelies, Linda. A lot of my flowers are bought as plants, but I do plant a lot of seed as well, especially sunflowers, columbine, cosmos and hollyhocks But the seed just gets scattered. Never know with them what or where they seeds will come up - LOL!
