NOCTURNE - Peacock Pearls Classic Hand Knotted Sterling Necklace
About:
NOCTURNE is a beautiful peacock pearl and sterling silver necklace that has been hand knotted on black silk in the classic, time-honored way. The not-quite-round peacock pearls are a lovely dark gray color with sheens of blues and purples and pinks showing up on them, depending on the way the light hits. Absolutely stunning! Fun sterling silver stepped cone-shaped beads were added to give a bit of a modern take on the classic style. Sterling silver daisy spacers frame each of the sterling beads. The pearls and sterling beads were individually hand-knotted with black silk cord. Because pearls were once more valuable and rarer than gold, pearls have, through the centuries, been traditionally hand-knotted in case the necklace breaks. Only one pearl might be lost instead of many. Sterling silver clams attach the pearls to a sterling silver toggle clasp with hearts on each piece of the clasp.
