Banded eye agate is such a unique gemstone as can definitely be seen in this handmade, one of a kind necklace! WHEN BEAUTY CALLS is a stunning necklace created with banded eye agate, pyrite and sterling silver. Banded eye agate is a gemstone that is unsurpassed in its unusual markings. The agate is famous for its natural concentric ring patterns that resemble an "eye". In fact, this stone has been used for centuries to ward off the evil eye, bad luck, sorcerers and vampires(!). With all the "eyes" that WHEN BEAUTY CALLS has, you will never have to worry about the evil eye and bad luck again! The colors in the banded eye agate gemstones are beautiful, shading all the way from pure white through grays, beige, tans and dark browns. There are many eyes with unparalleled banding. To add a bit of subtle flash to the WHEN BEAUTY CALLS necklace, faceted pyrite (fools gold) was scattered in the necklace. Even though the pyrite nuggets are only 4mm in size, they pack a lot of punch in that small size with lots of sparkle. The color is a brownish-gold, a perfect complement to the banded eye agate.
