Filled with a wonderful earthy essence, the INTRIGUING handmade necklace will quickly become a favorite piece of artisan jewelry - just imagine how intriguing it will look on you or a loved one!  The one of a kind necklace features a hand carved bone flower pendant and graduated African green opal rondelles. The unique pendant was intricately hand carved with three five-petaled flowers and flowing leaves.  A leaf can be found at the top of the pendant while the bottom has an etched line design. A permanent brown dye was painted into the recessed areas to bring out the wonderful detail of the carving. Then the pendant was given a rustic orange finish for an aged look.  An eye catching focal, indeed!

To perfectly complement the carved flower pendant, graduated African green opal rondelles make up the main body of the beautiful necklace.  The rich looking gemstones range in size from app 15 mm in the front of the necklace to 9 mm in the back. African green opal is a  lovely green variety of opal, but can also have shades of brown, as you can see in some the gemstones used in the  INTRIGUING necklace.  As an added bonus, many of the green opals have natural black or brown fern-like inclusions giving the stones that contain the inclusions an earthy elegance. Green opals do not contain the color flashes that precious opal is known for, but they are still a beautifully striking common opal.  Copper 3 mm beads separate each opal bead adding a gorgeous glow. A sleek copper toggle clasp finishes the lovely necklace.
