FLY HIGH IN THE SKY is a unique, one of a kind (OOAK), handmade necklace made with a hand-carved bone bird, turquoise jasper heishe, copper beads and copper wire. An asymmetrical beauty! The hand carved bone bird is full of intricate detail and is two-sided (see photos # 3 and #4 for a front and back view). I wanted the carved bird to look as if it was flying high, so it was placed to the side of the necklace. Turquoise jasper heishe provides a beautiful blue "sky" for the bird to fly and swoop in. The turquoise jasper is full of many shades of blue, from a pale blue to dark blue with some greenish/blue pieces. What a perfect contrast to the copper! Copper 2mm beads frame each side of the jasper clusters. Between every two turquoise jasper clusters, wonderful copper beads with a diamond design were used. The jasper clusters and copper beads have been wire-wrapped with copper wire and connect to copper closed rings. To perfectly finish the FLY HIGH IN THE SKY necklace, a spiral copper s-clasp was used.
