If you are looking for a mega fun pair of handmade sugar skull earrings to wear for Halloween and Day of the Dead / Dia de los Muertos, then look no farther! The WILD EYED SKULLS earrings are definitely the ones for you. The unique earrings feature magnesite skulls inset with flower eyes, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. The smile inducing skulls are made of carved magnesite gemstones with a permanent turquoise dye. As you can see, the color is a rich turquoise blue with natural veining that is brown. What really catches the eye, however, are the wild looking flower eyes! The five petalled flowers are artisan handmade from polymer clay. The pink and white colors, with just a hint of blue around the center, pop against the turquoise color of the skulls - you can’t help but notice them! The flowers were bonded to the eye holes of the skulls with industrial strength glue.

Adding exquisite sparkle to each sugar skull earring are two faceted Swarovski crystal bicones in a color called “Indian pink.” Reminiscent of the colors of pink gemstones found in India (pink spinels and pink sapphires, to name a few), the crystals are a dramatic translucent pink that glitter at each movement of the head when the earrings are worn. The crystals are separated from each other and from the skulls by small sterling silver disc spacers. All the elements used to create the sugar skull earrings were strung on sterling silver headpins, wire wrapped and then glued so the skulls always face forward. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the earrings.
