The one of a kind CALAVERAS DE LAVANDA earrings are full of marvelous spooky fun, perfect for Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) festivities, Halloween parties . . . or for any time of the year you feel the need to wear trendy skull jewelry! The radiant earrings feature two-sided Czech glass beads and Swarovski crystals. The unique skull beads were created with a base of translucent pink opal glass with a bit of lavender purple undertones. They positively glow in the light (be sure to check out all the photos). A delightful sugar skull design was impressed on both sides of the beads. To add an aged, folk art look, a turquoise blue Picasso finish was applied to highlight the amazing details of the floral eyes, an inverted heart shaped nose, the grinning mouth and any other recessed areas of the skull beads. As you can see in the photos, the lavender opal skulls are a bit different on each side. Since the sugar skulls are two sided, the earrings look beautiful from any angle when worn.

All sugar skulls need a bit of sparkle so faceted Swarovski crystals were used: tanzanite purple crystals and crystal lilac shadow bicones. Found just above the sugar skulls are glittering tanzanite purple Swarovski crystals set in silver plated rondelles. The seven clear crystals might be on the smaller side, but do they ever sparkle at each movement of the earrings! To add even more sparkle and to complement the lavender opal glass of the skulls, a faceted Swarovski crystal bicone in a rich “crystal lilac shadow” color is snugged into the top of each rondelle. These lovely lilac bicones have a subtle metallic coating containing real gold that causes a unique shadow effect depending on the angle of the light. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the earrings.
