RUNNING FREE - Handmade Horse Petroglyph Pendant Necklace Black Onyx Pewter

This stunning necklace, called RUNNING FREE, features a rustic, two sided, lead free pewter pendant. Two running horses are etched on one side and a modified spiral on the back, possibly inspired by the Zia sun symbol. The pendant designs are reminiscent of petroglyph (rock art) found all over the Southwest. The pewter was textured, oxidized and then polished to bring out the etched designs on both sides. To highlight the horse pendant, high polish black onyx tubes were used that complements the oxidized areas of the pendant perfectly. Five "jet" black Swarovski crystal 4 mm bicones were added to both sides of the necklace, giving subtle sparkle to the RUNNING FREE necklace. Glowing sterling silver 2 mm beads separate the gemstones and crystals. A patterned sterling silver toggle clasp finishes the beautiful necklace perfectly.
