Ancient coins have always held a great fascination to me: who struck the coins; who handled the coins; what did the coins buy? So when I saw the ancient coin reproduction pendant shown in the photos above, I knew I wanted to design with it, especially since one side of the pendant has a horse on it. To create the ANCIENT DAYS necklace, a handmade bronze, two sided ancient coin replica was used as the focal of the piece of jewelry. Picture jasper ovals, turquoise and copper add rustic, earthy appeal to the replica coin. The ANCIENT DAYS necklace, which was carefully handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, is definitely for the woman who loves unique jewelry.
