The RING-A-LINGS handmade hoop earrings have great appeal for the woman who loves a flirty, boho look. The one of a kind earrings feature artisan made polymer clay hoops with a distinct rustic appeal. The hoops were individually created from white polymer clay and then colored with a blending of light brick red and olive green artist chalks. To add texture and a great amount of interest to the hoops, two different decorative motifs were carved into the clay: a ray motif at the bottom and dots along the upper edge. The carvings highlight the white polymer clay as a lovely counterpoint against the brick red and olive background. The back of the hoops have a mottling effect. Several layers of a protective varnish was used to give them a long life. Since the hoops were made from polymer clay, they are very light in weight.

To add more than a huge dose of brilliant sparkle to the overall design and to complement the hoops perfectly, Swarovski crystal rings were used in a fun, rich color called “red magma.” Hot, indeed! In addition, the Swarovski rings are faceted, lending even more glitter to the artisan earrings. The different parts of the earrings were connected to each other with various sizes of copper jump rings for free and easy swinging movement. Sterling silver French hook earwires with a copper bead accent adds the finishing touch. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the RING-A-LINGS dangle earrings were created for the woman who loves boho, gypsy inspired artisan jewelry.
