The one of a kind PATAS handmade earrings are a perfect jewelry gift idea for the woman who adores dogs and / or cats. The earrings feature sweet translucent Czech glass paw print shaped beads, sparkling Swarovski crystals and copper. The two-sided glass beads, made in the Czech Republic, started out as pale pink opal glass. While still in a semi-melted state, a dog / cat paw print design was pressed into the glass on both sides, creating a wonderful recessed texture. To bring out the details and to add a vintage look to the pad and the four toes, each footprint was coated with a copper Picasso finish which was polished off the face of the beads. The copper finish was left mainly in the recessed areas and in the “cracks.” Each side of the paw print beads is a bit different from the other sides. Because the pale pink opal glass is translucent, the earrings positively glow when worn. The earrings look beautiful from any angle since they are two-sided. ***Please note - when photographed on a white background, one paw print looks a bit darker than the other. But as you can see in the photos where the earrings are hanging (#2 and #4, they are actually the same color.

To add a huge dose of sparkle to the earring design, a single round 6 mm Swarovski crystal was stacked on top of the paw print beads, separated by a copper daisy spacer. The rich color of the faceted Swarovskis is called “crystal copper,” a perfect multi-toned effect to highlight the copper accents of the paw prints. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the fun earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the meaningful PATAS earrings were created for the woman who loves her four-footed canine / feline and loves to show that in the jewelry she wears. “Patas” is Spanish for “paws” or "feet."
