EREWHON - Hand-knotted 15mm Shell Pearl Sterling Silver Necklace

This unique necklace creation is named after a book by Samuel Butler where the main character discovers EREWHON, an idyllic, utopian country - or MAYBE not since EREWHON is NOWHERE spelled backwards with the W and H transposed. The shell pearls, which look as if they should be worn on an idyllic island, are absolutely gorgeous. They are an unusual slightly oblong shape and are dyed to a light taupe, light peach and off-white colors. As you can see in the photos, the sheen on these beauties is absolutely wonderful. The shell pearls have been given a traditional, labor of love treatment by individually hand-knotting them on medium brown silk cord to create the EREWHON necklace. Sterling silver clams attach the shell pearls to a beautiful toggle clasp.
