Named after one of Khaleesi’s dragons in the Game of Thrones series, the DROGON necklace is a perfect jewelry gift for the woman who loves the mythical creatures. The one of a kind necklace features a dragon pendant, elephant skin jasper gemstones and sparkling Swarovski crystals. The two-sided dragon pendant was handcrafted on the Greek island of Mykonos from copper over pewter. As you can see in the photos, the pendant is very detailed, from the intricate face to the wings and tail. A turquoise green patina was given to the pendant to bring out the details even more and to add an aged look. As you can see from photo # 8, the backside of the pendant doesn’t have quite as much of the patina. Because all dragons must have fire, a 4 mm orange “fire opal” Swarovski crystals dangles just above the dragon’s head. Two heavy duty copper jump rings securely fasten the pendant to the main body of the necklace.

The main body of the necklace was created with elephant skin jasper (also known as calligraphy stone), fire opal Swarovski crystals and copper. Elephant skin jasper is a unique gemstone found in the Himalayan mountains of India. Composed of iron shell fossil and hematite, the gemstone has an earthy swirling pattern, each stone unique from the others (see closeup photo # 5). Between groupings of the elephant skin jasper are 6mm fire opal Swarovski crystals. These crystals have an aurora borealis (AB) finish which flashes brilliant fiery reds and hot oranges, with traces of pink and fuchsia - perfect dragon fire colors! Copper daisy spacers and small copper bicones beads separate the Swarovski crystals from the elephant jasper. The necklace is finished with a small solid copper toggle clasp that has been given a dark patina.
