TORTUGAS - Carved Sea Turtles Bone Red Coral Handmade Necklace

The very unique TORTUGAS handmade necklace was created with a bone focal hand carved in the shape of four sea turtles, hand carved bone barrels, red coral, bamboo coral and sterling silver. You won't see another necklace like this anywhere else! The fabulous turtle focal is exquisitely hand carved, including scrimshaw on the turtles' shells. What detail each of the four turles has! The bone has been aged to a wonderful caramel color that brings out the detailing of the turtles even more. The turtles are attached to the necklace with handmade loops of 2mm sterling silver beads. More beautifully hand carved bone beads in a woven design were used in the necklace. Two types of coral can be found: red coral tubes and natural bamboo coral rounds. Sterling silver rope spacers and 2mm beads are scattered liberally throughout the necklace. A gorgeous, patterned toggle clasp finishes the TORTUGAS necklace. "Tortugas" is Spanish for "turtles.”
