RHAPSODY IN RED is a uniquely stunning pair of handmade gemstone earrings created with poppy red coral and sterling silver. They definitely are jewelry you will reach for when you need that pop of red color. The poppy red coral used in the RHAPSODY IN RED earrings are an unusual cut. The cut is called "dogbones" or "barbells." Wonderful texture is created as the stones nestle in each other. The red coral dogbones were placed on sterling silver earwires that have a long shank. Nine pieces of dogbones were used for each earring. I carefully hand-hammered a loop at the end of each shank to secure the red coral dogbones to the earwires. A one of a kind pair of beaded earrings, RHAPSODY IN RED was handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs.
