Having been chanted by yogis of many religions for thousands of years, the word "om" is sometimes defined as "the sound of the universe" and is most often associated with the mantra "om mani padme hum", meaning "jewel in the heart of the lotus". I love that and use unique om pendants in my jewelry designs whenever I can. Simply named after the symbol on the pendant, the necklace was lovingly created with a handmade stoneware om symbol pendant, peach colored freshwater pearls and sterling silver. It's a simple design to honor the spiritual meaning of the word. Carefully handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, it is a one of a kind design for use to center the mind during meditation, during yoga or other times you feel the need of peacefulness in your life.
