The GIVE A HOOT handmade owl earrings are fun, stylishly trendy and . . . a real hoot! The one of a kind earrings look great from any angle due to the two sided Czech glass owl focal beads. The owls were created with a base glass of dark avocado green. To bring out the amazing detail of the feathers, beak, eyes and vintage looking “cracks” of the owl beads, a glowing bronze metallic Picasso finish was added. As you can see in the photos, the metallic finish, which settled into the recesses of the owls, has a rainbow effect - not only do you see bronze but also purples, pinks and blues, adding an eye catching contrast to the overall artisan jewelry design.
To add extreme sparkle to the handmade owl earrings, two types of glittering crystals were used. Sitting on top of each owl’s head, like a crown, is a patinaed copper rondelle set with six clear Czech glass crystals with an aurora borealis (AB) finish. The AB finish causes a rainbow play of color across the crystals, mimicking the metallic rainbow effect on the owl beads. Nestled into the top of rondelle are faceted 6 mm Swarovski crystal bicones in a lovely “light rose” pink color. More flash and glitter! All of the ehe elements used to create the owl earrings were strung on a copper headpin, carefully wire wrapped and then connected to sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents. Owl jewelry is very stylish right now, so you will be ahead of the curve wearing these unique earrings. Carefully designed and created by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the GIVE A HOOT earrings were specifically made for the woman who loves to wear fun, handmade jewelry.
