Tribal Woman Man Earrings, Ceramic Czech Glass Boho Handmade Jewelry
Item Description
The fun OH, NO! handmade earrings are perfect to wear when you just can't take it anymore and need to let people know (maybe co-workers? kids? spouse?) exactly how you feel! Smile-inducing, boho jewelry, the lightweight earrings were created with artisan tribal-inspired ceramic drops with an etched wild woman / man stick figure, spotted Czech glass beads, frosted Czech glass discs and sterling silver. The ceramic shield-shaped drops have a wonderful rustic vibe. A surprised woman / man with hair standing on end was individually etched into beige clay. The mouth is in a circle as if to say “oh, no.” The arms are x’s and dots and the body ends in an arrow shape. A light yellow glaze was applied and the etched areas were carefully hand painted with a dark brown paint to bring out the design. The charms were fired in a kiln at high heat for strength and durability. The back side of the dangles are glazed with dark brown. Since they were individually handmade, the drops are very similar but not exactly the same.
Complementing the dangles are spotted Czech glass beads and frosted Czech glass discs. The base of the Czech glass beads is black with random dots In pale yellow with hits of green. Since the glass beads are faceted, they add subtle sparkle. Above each spotted bead, separated by a sterling silver daisy spacer, is a frosted pale yellow Czech glass disc. Since the disc is translucent, it glows beautifully when the earrings are worn. Sterling silver French hook earwires with faceted silver glass beads finish the fun earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the one of a kind OH, NO! earrings are a wonderful gift for the woman who loves unique jewelry, loves life and has more than a bit of boho in her.
