Peace Sign Earrings, Rustic Sterling Blue Quartz Handmade Paz Jewelry

Making a statement every time they are worn - perhaps by a woman with more than a bit of hippy in her, a teenager or a tween - the one of a kind PAZ earrings are sweet and petite beauties. The earrings feature rustic, two-sided sterling silver peace signs, faceted blue quartz beads (representing Mother Earth) and granulated Bali sterling silver beads. As you can see, the glowing, teardrop-shaped peace signs have a wonderfully rustic look to them, the symbols raised against the background for eye-catching texture. Artisan designed, the charms were individually hand cast from sterling silver, oxidized and then polished to a high shine. Some of the oxidation stayed in the recesses, highlighting the peace signs themselves. Engraved on the back side of each charm is the word “paz,” Spanish for “peace” (see photo # 4). If you look closely, you will see that the peace signs are very similar, but not exactly the same. Because of the high shine of the raised areas, the peace signs were extremely hard to photograph due to the mirroring of things / colors around them. Rest assured, they are a brilliant, shiny silver.
Faceted dark blue quartz gemstone sits above the peace signs, representing Mother Earth as seen from millions of miles in space. The richly-colored quartz has crisp facets to sparkle dramatically. Just above each blue quartz bround sits a Bali sterling silver bead. A row of raised granulation runs all the way around the center framed on either side by two wire rings. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the wonderful earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the one of a kind PAZ earrings were created for the free spirited, socially conscious woman who adores wearing one of a kind jewelry on the smaller side.
