Milagros Earrings, Crown of Thorns Hearts Handmade Religious Jewelry
Item Description
The unique MIRACLES handmade earrings are a wonderful jewelry gift for the woman of faith. The one of a kind earrings feature artisan sterling silver milagros charms, orange Czech glass beads and sterling silver. Milagor are small, devotional charms used in Mexico and Latin America as offerings for protection, healing and thanks for answered miracles. These milagros were artisan hand cast from sterling silver with a rustic Sacred Heart, crown of thorns and sacred fire design. The charms were oxidized to bring out the detailing and then polished to a high shine. The back of the milagros are mostly smooth and are polished. Since the charms were individually handmade, they are very similar but also a bit different.
Representing the color of glowing embers, two types of faceted premium orange Czech glass beads were stacked above each milagro. A bright orange Czech glass rondelle with a silvery brown Picasso finish is the larger bead. Just above, separated by a sterling silver daisy spacer, is a smaller translucent dark orange bead. The faceting of each glass bead adds subtle sparkle. Sterling silver French hook earwires, each accented with the dark orange bead, finish the lightweight earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the MIRACLES earrings were created for the woman who loves the symbolism of milagros and adores wearing one of a kind artisan jewelry! “Milagros” is Spanish for “miracles.
