Filled with amazing spiritual meaning, the EIGHTFOLD PATH handmade earrings are a perfect gift for the woman who loves symbolic jewelry. The earrings feature rustic pewter wheel of life / eightfold path charms, green and blue azurite malachite gemstones and sterling silver. The unique charms were individually artisan hand cast from Britannia pewter, a lead free pewter that looks like sterling silver, especially its silvery, reflective glow. They are a rustic wheel design (signifying the circle of life) with eight dots encircling a larger dot in the middle. The dots are a simplified version of the Noble Eightfold Path design found in Buddhism. Given a dark patina, the wheel charms were polished to bring out the shine of the raised dots. To add even more symbolism, natural azurite malachite gemstone rondelles were stacked above the charms, separated by small sterling silver discs. A natural combination of two gemstones, the azurite malachite beads are a wonderful combination of blue and green: blue signifying infinity and purity and green signifying balance and harmony in Buddhism. Found above each gemstones stack is a shiny corrugated sterling silver rondelle bead. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the lovely earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the meaningful EIGHTFOLD PATH earrings were created for the woman who adores symbolic jewelry with a story to tell!
