Butterfly Heart Necklace, Chevron Amethyst Swarovski Handmade Jewelry

What a wonderful jewelry gift for the woman who loves butterflies! The VUELA LIBRE handmade necklace features an artisan sterling butterfly on heart pendant, chevron amethyst rounds, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver findings. The beautifully rustic pendant was artisan designed and hand cast from sterling silver. To add amazing texture, the butterfly and its “buzzing” path through the air is raised against the background of the heart shaped pendant. The pendant has been lightly patinated and then polished to bring out the lovely details (in real life, it has much more of a silvery sheen than the photos show). The polished back side shows the maker’s mark of the artist. The pendant is secured to the body of the necklace with two heavy duty sterling silver jump rings.
Since butterflies enjoy nectaring from purple flowers, purple chevron amethyst and light lavender Swarovski crystals were used. Chevron amethyst is a mixture of amethyst and white quartz. The color of the gemstone ranges from white to deep purple, often with multiple shades on one stone, as you can see in the photos of the necklace. Faceted pale purple Swarovski crystal bicones in a color called “light amethyst shimmer” are found to the front of the necklace to add incredible sparkle. There are five crystals on each side, separated from the amethyst by small sterling silver beads. A square-shaped sterling silver toggle clasp securely fastens the necklace when it is worn. Carefully designed and handmade by Carherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the unique VUELA LIBRE necklace was created for the woman who is a butterfly lover and who appreciates wearing one of a kind artisan jewelry! “Vuela libre” is Spanish for “fly free.”
