Fun handmade jewelry for the bird lover, the unique BLUEBIRDS OF HAPPINESS earrings are very lightweight to wear. The one of a kind earrings feature vintage tin bluebirds and bird houses charms, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. The cheerful charms were hand cut from an upcycled vintage tea or cookie tin with the edges ground to a silky smooth finish. Purposely mismatched, the design on the charms show cute bluebirds (perhaps just fledged baby bluebirds?) and bird houses. The back side of each has a silvery gold sheen. For long wear and durability, the charms were coated with museum quality microcrystalline wax polish.

Wonderfully complementing the shades of blue on the charms, sparkling Swarovski crystal bicone dangles were added in a rich blue called “Montana sapphire.” Three dangles are found on each charm, two dangles with one crystal and the middle with two crystals. Sterling silver French hook earwires with Swarovski crystal accents finish the wonderful earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the lightweight BLUEBIRDS OF HAPPINESS earrings were created for the woman who is a bird lover and enjoys wearing one of a kind artisan jewelry!

Even though man made, crystals (glass) carry the energies of transformation, rebirth and communication.
