Wonderful handmade jewelry for the woman who loves the magical beauty of horses, the SAOIRSE pendant necklace features a ceramic horse head pendant, faceted titanium coated golden tiger’s eye gemstones and copper. The rustic, Celtic-inspired pendant was artisan handmade from high fired ceramic stoneware. A raised, pale beige horse and spiral design is highlighted against a dark brown background. Adding even more rustic beauty, part of the pendant has a shiny finish and part is matte. The back of the pendant has a tiny recessed area on the edge and was purposely left unglazed to be used as an essential oil diffuser. Just add several drops of your favorite essential oil for hours of scented bliss. ***Please note: high fired ceramic stoneware is very durable, but if hit or dropped on a hard surface, it can chip or break.

Beautifully complementing the horse head pendant are faceted golden tiger’s eye gemstone beads. The gemstones were given a light titanium coating to add eye-catching shimmer. Copper disc spacers separate the tiger’s eye grouping. A patterned pure copper toggle clasp set finishes the unique necklace. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the SAOIRSE horse head pendant necklace was created for the woman who adores horses and loves artisan jewelry with a Celtic-inspied flair. “Saoirse” is Irish for “freedom.”

Horses have long been symbols of power to most cultures and are linked as an emblem of a strong life-force; they are believed to help overcome obstacles in life to pursue goals no matter what may stand in the way. Tigers eye is believed to give the wearer strength, courage and protection against evil. Copper is said to allow the wearer to recognize barriers in the path of personal development.

The SAOIRSE artisan necklace was carefully designed and handmade in a dog friendly, smoke free studio. The necklace will come with two informational drop tags: one with the piece's name; the other lists the materials used in the necklace and the language of the stones and metals. It will be carefully packed in an organza jewelry bag, perfect for gift giving to a loved one . . . or to yourself!
