Filled with centuries old symbolism, the handmade ASCENSION earrings are a wonderful jewelry gift for the woman who adores unique cross jewelry. The one of a kind earrings feature artisan birds on crosses pewter charms, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. Symbolic of the soul’s ascension to heaven, the birds on crosses charms were artisan designed and individually cast from lead free pewter. A bird perches on top of each cross with a wavy line along the crossbar. The pewter charms were given an antique patina and then polished to a high sheen with the look of old heirloom silver. The back side of each charm is flat with the engraved maker's mark on each.

Keeping the design simple, adding great sparkle and representing the sky, two faceted dark sapphire blue Swarovski crystal bicones in two sizes are found above each cross and bird charms. For even more glitter, a dark sapphire Swarovski crystal is also found on each sterling silver French hook earwires. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the ASCENSION birds on crosses earrings will be well loved by the woman who adores symbolic cross jewelry!

A bird perched on a cross symbolizes the union of heaven and earth, representing the soul’s ascension, peace, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Pewter is believed to be very grounding, bringing the wearer back to reality. Even though man made, crystals carry the energies of transformation, rebirth and communication. Silver is a metal of love and healing; it is a mirror to the soul, helping us to see ourselves as others see us.
