A wonderful handmade gift for the woman who loves jewelry with definite boho vibes, the unique TRIBAL TEMPO earrings are captivating! The one of a kind earrings feature pewter folk art woman dangles, recycled glass beads, silver Czech glass beads and sterling silver. The lead free pewter dangles were individually artisan made. They are purposely mismatched and have a sinuous folk art flair. Going about their work, one woman is carrying a basket in her hand and the other has a bowl on her head, both raised above the background for great texture. The dangles were lightly patinated to bring out the details and then polished to a high shine. The back of each is artisan hallmarked.
To continue with the boho beat, recycled glass beads are found above each dangle. Fair Trade purchased, the recycled glass beads were individually made by Krobo artisans in Ghana using a centuries old method. The translucent beads were created with clear glass, orange glass and a bit of green with a frosted finish - the clear glass is much whiter looking in real life than what shows in the photos. They are not quite round, each one a bit different from the other. Adding unexpected sparkle are faceted silver plated Czech glass beads found above the recycled beads and on the sterling silver French hook earwires. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the TRIBAL TEMPO earrings are a great gift for the boho woman who loves unique jewelry!
