The PRIMORDIAL handmade trilobite fossil earrings are as much fun as they are whimsical in design! Jewelry that is delightfully ancient looking and perfect for year round wear, the unique earrings were created with Czech glass trilobite beads, Czech glass “African” beads, sparkling Swarovski crystals, copper and and sterling silver. Made in small batches in the Czech Republic, the two-sided trilobite beads were created with a base of turquoise glass. A detailed trilobite design was pressed into the glass when still molten. To bring out the details of the fossil and to add an aged look, a Picasso finish in brick red and pale lichen green was applied, settling into the crevices of the beads. Each side of the trilobites are similar, but also different, as you can see in the photos. Since the trilobite beads are two-sided, the earrings look lovely from all sides when worn.
To complement the turquoise glass trilobite beads perfectly, rustic Czech glass African beads and glittering Swarovski crystals are stacked above, separated by Ethiopian copper discs. The rustic Czech glass beads are tan with hand painted blue stripes, purposely mimicking old African trade beads. To add unexpected color, on top of each sits a sparkling faceted Swarovski crystal bicone in a rich dark reddish hue with hints of purple. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the fun earrings.
