Perfectly named, the colorful MANDALA MAGIC earrings are both symbolically beautiful and lightweight to wear. A perfect jewelry gift for the woman who practices yoga and/or meditates, the handmade earrings feature artisan mandala dangles, sparkling Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. The exquisite rectangle shaped dangles were created from artist's backing board, a heavy duty archival quality paper board used in museums. A permanent transfer was applied: a radiant geometric mandala design in many shades of peach, pink, green and light blue. The back side of each dangle is the light beige color of the backing board. So they can be worn for many years, the mandala charms were given several coats of a shiny sealant. Please note: the artist who made the dangles says “although these have been sealed several times on all sides and edges, they are not suitable for wearing in the shower or any water sport activities.”

Wonderfully highlighting the colors of the mandalas and adding tremendous sparkle, two sizes of faceted Swarovski crystal bicones were used in a soft delicate color called “light peach.” The smaller crystal was wire wrapped to form a dangle at the bottom of the charms. The larger Swarovski crystal is found above. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the eye-catching earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the one of a kind MANDALA MAGIC earrings were created for the woman who loves allegorical, artisan jewelry!

A mandala, derived from the Sanskrit word for "circle," is a geometric design that symbolizes the cosmos and serves as a spiritual tool for meditation, worship, and artistic expression; it represents wholeness, interconnectedness and the cyclical nature of life. Even though man made, crystals (glass) are said to carry the energies of transformation, rebirth and communication. Silver is a metal of love and healing; it is a mirror to the soul, helping us to see ourselves as others see us.
