Horse Dream Necklace, Rustic Pendant Mixed Gemstones Handmade Jewelry

This exquisite, one of a kind necklace is absolutely perfect for the woman who loves handmade horse jewelry combined with an inspirational message. The DREAM necklace features an artisan running horse ceramic pendant, earthy mixed gemstone heishe and copper. The Southwest-inspired ceramic pendant is kiln fired with a distressed glossy white linen glaze over a light colored terracotta clay. The rustic pendant is not perfectly rectangular for eye catching appeal. Wonderfully textured, a petroglyph running horse is centered on the pendant and “dream” runs diagonally from under the horse to the lower right corner. Above the horse is a geometric design often seen on Navajo blankets. The back of the pendant is unglazed and can be used as an essential oil diffuser: just add a few drops of essential oil and the scent will last for several hours to several days. A heavy duty copper jump ring connects the horse pendant to the main body of the necklace.
Perfectly complementing the running horse pendant, hand cut, mixed gemstone heishe discs were used. The stones are primarily a mix of jaspers and agates, but other stones are found as well. The colors are wonderfully earthy: white, yellows, terracotta reds, greens, blues, grays, black and others. To provide wonderful drape when the necklace is worn, copper beads separate groups of alternating five and three heishe. Since the heishe is hand cut, the discs are very similar in size, but some are just a tad bigger and some a tad smaller adding to the rustic appeal of the necklace. A solid copper toggle clasp set securely finishes the unique necklace. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the DREAM necklace will make a wonderful gift for the woman who is a horse lover and a dreamer at the same time.
