An ancient symbol believed to bring protection, blessings, peace and good luck, the KHAMSA handmade earrings are beauties that will be worn time and time again. One of a kind jewelry for the woman who loves symbolism, the meaningful earrings feature two-sided Czech glass hamsa hand beads, two other shapes and colors of glass beads, copper and sterling silver. The hamsa hands were created from clear pressed glass with a honey amber Picasso finish for an antique look. A matte turquoise blue wash was added to bring out the wonderful detailing of the design: the five fingers, the protective eye and various decorative dots and swirls. Since the hamsa beads are two-sided, the earrings look wonderful from any angle when worn.
Stacked above the hamsa hands, perfectly complementing them, are Czech glass discs and Czech glass tri-cut beads. The first beads are gorgeous light golden honey brown glass discs with an earthy Picasso finish. The next beads are dark turquoise beads with 3 facets that sparkle when they catch the light. Since all the beads used in the earrings, including the hamsa hands, are translucent, the earrings glow amazingly when worn! Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the lovely earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the KHAMSA earrings will be much cherished by the woman who loves meaningful jewelry! “Khamsa” is another name for the hamsa, Arabic for “five,” referring to the fingers of the hand and the pillars of faith.
