So exquisitely beautiful in its rustic simplicity and peacefulness, the TRANQUIL handmade necklace is a meaningful jewelry gift for the woman who meditates or practices yoga. The serene, one of a kind necklace features a brass Gautama Buddha pendant, unique Madagascar dendritic agate gemstones and copper. The eye-catching Buddha pendant was artisan crafted in Thailand from glowing bronze framed with silver. It was purposely created to look like an ancient relic. The pendant features a meditating Gautama Buddha (also known as Siddhārtha Gautama, Shakyamuni Buddha or simply The Buddha). The Buddha is sitting in the traditional lotus pose used for meditation and is raised against the background for wonderful texture. The pendant was heavily oxidized for an ancient look and then polished to bring out the details. The back is patinated bronze also framed in silver. A heavy duty copper jump ring securely connects the pendant to the main body of the necklace.

Perfectly highlighting the Gautama Buddha pendant is gorgeous Madagascar dendritic agate gemstone rounds. Although dendritic agate can be found in many places in the world, as the name implies, this agate is found in Madagascar. It is normally a translucent clear stone but also features bright orange, dark brown and black, many with banding and/or dendritic inclusions that look like moss or ferns. Take a close look at the photos and you can see the varied coloration of the beautiful gemstones along with the dendrites. Copper beads are generously scattered through the necklace to add a wonderful glow and beautiful drape when the Buddha necklace is worn. A solid copper toggle clasp set that was darkly patinated and then polished finishes the necklace. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the TRANQUIL necklace will make a wonderful gift for the woman who has an air of peacefulness about her, practices yoga or meditates.
