What wonderful handmade jewelry for the woman who loves the iconic Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo! The unique earrings feature two-sided Czech glass beads, Swarovski crystals, copper and sterling silver. The premium Czech glass rectangular shaped beads have a base of black glass with a matte gold wash coating. A portrait of Frida (based on a photo taken by Nickolas Muray in 1939) was laser etched onto both sides, revealing the black glass. The detailing is exquisite: Frida gazing out wearing flowers in her hair, a pair of earrings and a necklace. Since the portraits of Frida were individually laser etched, they are extremely similar but also a bit different. When worn, the earrings look fabulous from any angle since they are two sided.
Adding much sparkle and vibrant beauty are two faceted Swarovski crystal rounds. The finish on the crystals is called “medium vitrail.” One half of each bead has the iridescent medium vitrail coating causing a shifting array of colors (mainly shades of magenta, green and yellow) depending on the angle of the light. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the wonderful earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the eye-catching FRIDA!
