Fossil Spiral Shell Earrings, Blue Ammonite Crystals Handmade Jewelry

What a wonderful handmade jewelry gift for the woman who loves fossils, shells and / or the ocean! The one of a kind OCEAN SPIRALS earrings feature two-sided blue Czech glass ammonite shell beads, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. The ammonite (or maybe nautilus) shell beads were created from light blue glass with a spiral shell design pressed into both sides. To bring out the amazing details, a darker ocean blue wash was added which settled into the recessed areas. The ammonite / nautilus shell design is coiled into a tight spiral, each individual chamber along the shell visible. Since the shell beads are two-sided, the earrings look wonderful from any angle when worn.
Adding amazing sparkle and highlighting the shell beads perfectly, two sizes of faceted Swarovski crystal bicones were used in a rich blue based on a precious gemstone of the same name. The larger crystals sit just above each ammonite bead, separated by small sterling silver disc spacers. A smaller indicolite crystal is found on each sterling silver French hook earwires. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the unique OCEAN SPIRALS shell earrings were created for the woman who adores artisan designed jewelry with a shell / fossil / ocean theme!
