Copper Feather Necklace, Mixed Agate Gemstones Earthy Handmade Jewelry

With an exquisite feather inspired copper pendant and mixed agate nuggets, the TOUCH OF MAGIC handmade necklace definitely spreads a magical spell when worn. People won’t be able to keep their eyes off of it! The earthy, one of a kind necklace features an artisan feather pendant that was handcrafted from beginning to end from precious copper metal clay: it was shaped, carved, inscribed and fired in a kiln. The solid copper pendant was then patinated and polished to bring out the incredible detail of the feathers. The feathers are somewhat raised against the background. As you can see, the details of the feather design are amazing, three rows radiating gracefully from the hole at the top of the pendant. The oval pendant is slightly domed and the back is fairly smooth, but a bit of the feather design from the frontside can still be seen (see photo #9). The pendant is connected securely to the main body of the necklace with a heavy duty copper jump ring.
To perfectly mimic the pointed ends of the feather design on the pendant, gorgeous mixed agate graduated nuggets were used. The agate has an interesting cut, a faceted nugget, most with somewhat pointy ends. To add even more interest, ½ of the nuggets drilled long wise while ½ were drilled through the middle. As you can see in the photos, the agate alternate between long drilled and side drilled. The colors range naturally from very dark brown through rusty reds, mustard yellows, grays and whites, many with more than one color with swirls, spots and wavy lines (see photo #8 for a closeup of the gemstones). Since the nuggets are faceted, they lend subtle glow to the necklace. Copper 3 mm beads separate each nugget to give the necklace great sinuosity and add beautiful copper glow. A copper s-clasp with a raised dot design on both sides add s a gorgeous finishing accent to the necklace. The TOUCH OF MAGIC artisan necklace was carefully designed and handmade in a dog friendly, smoke free studio. The necklace will come with two informational drop tags: one with the piece's name; the other lists the materials used in the necklace and the language of the stones and metals.
