Stacked above each medium blue glass bead are more artisan lampwork glass beads, this time a glowing spotted blue pair. Sapphire blue Swarovski crystals add great sparkle. Pewter flower petal bead caps and sterling silver finish the beauties. The amazing lampwork beads found at the bottom of the BLISSFUL BLUES earrings were individually created by artist Charlotte of Covergirlbeads from transparent blue glass with a high gloss finish. When these earrings are worn, the lampwork beads positively glow! If you look closely in the photos, you can see tiny air bubbles in the beads which add a great amount of interest. Pewter bead caps in the shape of flower petals cap the top and bottom of the blue beads.
On top of the medium blue lampwork beads are upturned flower bead caps, each with a spotted blue lampwork bead snuggled into it. The spotted blue beads were also individually artisan handmade by artist Lisa Anderson. The beads started out as clear glass. When the clear glass was still molten, navy blue and medium blue glass frit was applied to form the spots. These beads also glow in the light. An upturned pewter flower bead cap tops each spotted bead.
To add more than a bit of sparkle to the design of the BLISSFUL BLUES earrings, a sapphire blue Swarovski crystal bicone was added into the top bead caps. Swarovski crystal are known for their meg-sparkle - these little beauties are no exception.
All of the elements used to create the BLISSFUL BLUES artisan earrings were strung on hand hammered (by me) sterling silver headpins with a hand formed loop at the bottom end. The top of each headpin was carefully wire wrapped and attached to sterling silver French hook earwires for a perfect finish.
Even though man made, glass and crystals are said to carry the energies of transformation, rebirth and communication. Pewter is believed to be very grounding, bringing the wearer back to reality. Silver is a metal of love and healing; it is a mirror to the soul, helping us to see ourselves as others see us.
The unique BLISSFUL BLUES artisan earrings were carefully designed and handmade in a dog friendly, smoke free studio. They will be carefully packed in an organza jewelry bag with tissue, perfect for gift giving to a loved one . . . or to yourself!
