Trees have always had an important place in the cultural mythology of mankind. The handmade CRAOBH NA BEATHA earrings are filled with rustic, earthy symbolism and are a wonderful gift for the woman who loves allegorical jewelry! The one of a kind beauties feature artisan tree of life / yggdrasil charms, unakite gemstones and sterling silver. The tree of life charms were artisan designed and individually hand cast from lead free pewter. The raised design is stately: a tree with a sturdy trunk raising its branches to the heavens. The charms were given a light patina to bring out the amazing details and then polished to a high shine (shinier than the photos show). The back side of each yggdrasil charm is slightly textured.

Adding earthy appeal to the earrings, two unakite rondelles are stacked above each charm, separated by sterling daisy spacers. Unakite is a gemstone characterized by a mottled or speckled pattern of terracotta and green, each stonr different from the other. Unakite was chosen due to its coloration: green representing the leaves with the terracotta symbolising the woody parts of the trees. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the wonderful earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catheriine of Shadow Dog Designs, the CRAOBH NA BEATHA earrings will be much loved and worn often by the woman who adores artisan tree of life jewelry! “Craobh na beatha” is Scots Gaelic for “tree of life.”
