Fun, handmade jewelry that looks very devilish, the CALAVERAS ROJAS sugar skull earrings add great fun to your spooky Halloween and Day of the Dead / Dia de los Muertos outfit. The one of a kind earrings were created with red and black Czech glass sugar skulls, crystal rondelles, black onyx and sterling silver. Made in small batches in the Czech Republic, the skulls have a base of shiny rich red glass with a recessed design. A black Picasso was added that settled in the recessed areas to bring out the wonderful detailing of the flower eyes, upside down heart shaped nose, grinning mouth and other parts of the skulls. The sugar skull beads are two sided so the earrings look wonderful from any angle when worn.

Adding a “crown” to the skulls, silver plated rondelles and black onyx gemstones were stacked on top of the beads. The silver rondelles are set with seven sparkling clear Czech crystals to give maximum glitter at the slightest movement of the head. Nested in the top of the rondelles are faceted black onyx gemstones with a high gloss finish. The earrings are finished with sterling silver French hook earwires. The CALAVERAS ROJAS earrings were carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs for the woman who wants to add ghoulishly fun sugar skull jewelry to her Halloween and Day of the Dead collection!

Red and black Czech glass sugar skulls: app. 20 mm x 17 mm at the widest (0.79” x 0.67”)
Silver plated crystal rondelles: app. 7 mm x 3 mm (0.28” x 0.12”)

Black Onyx is believed to be a powerful protective stone and is used as a defense against negative thinking.
