The patron saint of animals and the environment, St. Francis is loved and revered worldwide. The PROTECT MY PET handmade St. Francis pendant necklace is a perfect gift for the woman of Catholic faith and who has pets of her own. The meaningful necklace features a two-sided Italian-made St. Francis and animals pendant, dalmatian jasper, black onyx and sterling silver. The unique pendant was made in Italy, pewter over copper with a rustic, aged finish. St Fancis is found on the front with a host of animals, including a dog, a cat, doves, a rabbit, a turtle and others. On the back is found “St. Francis Patron Saint of Animals, Protect My Pet” and three paw prints. “Italy” is stamped on both the front and the back of the round pendant.

To continue the animal theme, spotted dalmatian jasper makes up the main part of the front of the necklace. An opaque gemstone named after the Dalmatian dog breed, it is creamy white to beige and characterized by distinct black or brown spots. Eleven four sided, jasper ovals are found on each side of the necklace separated by round black onyx gemstones and small sterling silver beads. Black onyx finishes the back of the necklace. A sterling silver hook clasp with raised dots securely fastens the necklace. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the PROTECT MY PET necklace was created for the woman who loves meaningful religious jewelry and adores her pets.

Black Onyx is believed to be a powerful protective stone and helps brings balance to mind and body. Silver is a metal of love and healing; it is a mirror to the soul, helping us to see ourselves as others see us.

The PROTECT MY PET artisan St. Francis necklace was carefully designed and handmade in a dog friendly, smoke free studio. The necklace will come with two informational drop tags: one with the piece's name; the other lists the materials used in the necklace and the language of the stones and metals.
