Wonderfully rustic, the handmade MOON HORSE necklace is sure to please any woman who adores horse jewelry. Named after a race of magical horses, the one of a kind necklace features an artisan ceramic horse, moon and heart ceramic pendant, ancient looking Czech glass beads and copper. The unique horse pendant was artisan made from highfired stoneware clay with a raised design. And what a whimsical design it is: a horse with a wild mane looking over its back, a heart in the horse, a crescent moon and dots which represent stars. A dark brown glaze was applied and then wiped off, leaving it in the recessed areas to bring out the detail of the raised design. The back side has a slight texture with a bit of brown glaze.

Perfectly complementing the ceramic horse pendant are Czech glass beads in a wonderful mix of early colors with an aged, etched finish. The colors range from dark blue, brown, amber yellow, dark barn red, gray and others, many beads with stripes of various colors. To add a rich sheen, each set of five glass beads are separated by a small copper bead. A copper s-clasp with three raised dots on each side securely fastens the one of a kind necklace. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the magical MOON HORSE necklace was created for the woman who loves horses and one of a kind artisan jewelry!

Horses have long been symbols of power to most cultures and are linked as an emblem of a strong life-force; they are believed to help overcome obstacles in life to pursue goals no matter what may stand in the way. Even though man made, glass carries the energies of transformation, rebirth and communication. Copper is said to allow the wearer to recognize barriers in the path of personal development.

The unique MOON HORSE artisan necklace was carefully designed and handmade in a dog friendly, smoke free studio. The necklace will come with two informational drop tags: one with the piece's name; the other lists the materials used in the necklace and the language of the stones and metals. It will be carefully packed in an organza jewelry bag, perfect for gift giving to a loved one . . . or to yourself!
