Item Description

The one of a kind KITTY, KITTY handmade earrings will be a much appreciated jewelry gift for a cat lover. Filled with quirky fun, the earrings feature Czech calico glass cat head beads, copper and sterling silver. Made in small batches in the Czech Republic, the two-sided glass cat beads sport a quizzical expression on the cat’s faces (maybe you forgot to feed your four-footed buddy?). The calico glass is a mixture of dark reddish brown and cream, swirled together. To bring out the details of the faces and to add a rustic look, a metallic copper wash was added that settled into the recessed areas. Because of the swirled calico glass and the copper wash, each side of the cat beads is a bit different from the others as the photos show.

Keeping the design simple and to enhance the copper wash, two sizes of corrugated copper beads were added above each kitty cat head, separated by a small copper daisy spacer. Sterling silver French hooks with copper bead accents finish the unique earrings, carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the KITTY, KITTY earrings were created for the woman who adores her cat and shows it by wearing one of a kind cat jewelry!
