Sugar Skull Earrings, Turquoise Pink Halloween Day of the Dead Jewelry

Full of glorious Halloween and Day of the Dead fun, the one of a kind CALAVERAS TURQUESAS earrings are perfect for celebrations during the spookiest time of the year . . . or for any time of the year you feel the need to wear trendy skull jewelry! The handmade earrings feature two-sided turquoise and pink Czech glass skull beads and two types of mega-sparkle fuchsia pink Swarovski crystals. The unique skull beads were created in small batches in the Czech Republic with a base of opaque turquoise glass. Impressed into both sides of the beads is a charming, rustic sugar skull design with a huge grin, floral eyes and an upside down triangle-shaped nose. To bring out the details of the design and to add an aged look, a metallic pink Picasso finish was added which settled into the recessed areas of the design and the “crackles” and “pits” (that don't disturb the integrity of the glass). The metallic pink finish adds wonderful shimmer to the skulls. As you can see in the photos, the skulls are a bit different on each side. Since the turquoise and pink sugar skulls have a design on both sides, the earrings look beautiful from any angle when worn.
All Halloween / Day of the Dead sugar skulls need a great amount of sparkle so two types and colors of faceted Swarovski crystals were used. Just above the sugar skulls, resembling a crown, are glittering fuchsia pink Swarovski crystals. The seven crystals might be on the small side, but do they ever add wonderful sparkle at each movement of the earrings when worn! To add even more exquisite sparkle, a faceted 6 mm Swarovski crystal bicone, also in fuchsia pink, is snuggled into the top of each rondelle. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the wonderful earrings. The CALAVERAS TURQUESAS earrings were carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs for the woman who wants to add ghoulishly fun Halloween and Day of the Dead earrings to her unique skull jewelry collection. “Calaveras Turquesas” is Spanish for “turquoise skulls.”
