The lightweight SHAMAN earrings are a perfect jewelry gift for the woman who loves the Southwest and is intrigued by tribal art. The sterling silver shaman wholeness charms are the highlights of the one of a kind earrings, along with real turquoise, silver Czech glass beads and sterling silver findings. Shaman petroglyphs and pictographs are found worldwide, stressing the importance these men/women had to community life. The unique design based on ancient art features a shaman with arms outstretched. Down the front of the shaman’s robes are circles with dots, representing wholeness and unity. The silver shamans were given a dark patina and then polished to a high, reflective shine to bring out the intricate details. The backs of the charms are smooth with two recessed areas.
Since turquoise is sacred to many Native Americans in the Southwest, two genuine turquoise rondelles are stacked above each shaman charm, separated by sterling silver daisy spacers. The color is a lovely sky blue with just a bit of matrix here and there. One top of each stack of turquoise is a faceted silver Czech glass bead which adds unexpected sparkle. Both sterling silver French hook earwire is also accented with a faceted silver glass bead. Carefully designed and handmade by Caherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the SHAMAN earrings will quickly become favorite jewelry for the woman who has the Southwest in her soul.
