Filled with the amazing, earthy colors of the Southwest, the DESERT SUNSET handmade earrings are sure to please any woman who has more than a bit of the desert in her soul! The one of a kind earrings feature two types of gemstones, red creek jasper coins and glowing amber, with gleaming copper scattered throughout. The natural red creek jasper coins look as if they are a landscape photo of the remnants of desert sunset: a bit of light brown on the bottom, shades of orange melting into mellow greens and blue-grays. A thin line of brown runs from the bottom to about midway and a swoosh of brown runs through the sky. As you can see, the jasper coins are very similar but not exactly the same, something you’d expect from cutting natural gemstones. The back of the red creek jasper coins are also lovely, filled with the same colors as on the front, but not the same designs (see photo #9).
To perfectly complement the red creek jasper, two shapes and colors of naural amber are stacked above the coins, separated by shiny copper daisy spacers. The larger pair on the bottom, a rondelle shape, are a dark honey amber color, one just a bit lighter than the other. The smaller rounds found above are a medium honey amber color, one with natural darker specks in it. Because the amber is translucent, the glow amazingly when the earrings are worn. Sterling silver French hooks with copper bead accents finish the unique gemstone earrings.
