Horse Lover Earrings, Boho Horses Hearts Agate Handmade Jewelry Gift

Filled with whimsical, rustic beauty, the CABALLOS handmade earrings are sure to please a horse lover. One of a kind jewelry with a boho vibe, the earrings feature artisan ceramic horses and hearts dangles, unique Tibetan agate gemstone beads, coral red Czech glass discs, pewter hexagon beads and sterling silver. The horse dangles were individually handmade from ceramic. The ceramic rectangles were glazed on the front in dark brown. A horse and a heart were hand carved on each, revealing the lighter ceramic beneath, and then kiln fired. As you can see, the detailing is amazing: the horses are running with their flowing manes blowing back. A small heart is in front of each. Since the horse charms were individually hand carved, they are very similar in design but there are also differences. The back of each charm has a wash of darker glaze against the lighter colored ceramic. Two heavy duty sterling silver jump rings securely fasten the charms to the upper part of the earrings.
Continuing with a rustic theme, Tibetan agate beads, red coral glass discs and pewter beds were used. Modern Tibetan agate beads are hand patterned to resemble Dzi beads (first appearing between 2000 - 1000 BC in India). These agate beads have a base of a permanent reddish brown finish on the top and bottom with a translucent band of natural agate running around the middle. The agate glows in good light when the earrings are worn. Adding a punch of unexpected color, two red coral Czech glass discs are stacked above the agate beads, separated by a sterling silver daisy spacer. A hexagon shaped lead free pewter hexagon bead finishes the stacking, providing a warm silver glow. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the unique earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the CABALLOS horse earrings were created for the woman who loves horses and loves wearing one of a kind artisan jewelry! “Caballos” is Spanish for “horses.”
