The eye-catching ETERNAL LOVE handmade necklace is a perfect gift for the woman who loves unique cross jewelry, loves horses, and loves wearing one of a kind designs. The beautiful artisan necklace features a two-sided pewter running horse on cross pendant, faceted Mexican fire opal and sterling silver. The lead free pewter pendant, artisan designed and hand cast in the U.S., has a wonderfully rustic appeal with its hammered texture. One side has a raised running horse design with an etched spiral of life - running horse glyphs and spirals are found at many ancient sites worldwide. To add even more interest, a raised heart is found on the opposite side so you can wear the cross necklace either way. The cross pendant was oxidized to bring out the detailing and then polished to a reflective finish (it gleams like old silver, something the photos failed to capture). A heavy gauge sterling silver jump ring connects the horse on a cross pendant to the main body of the necklace securely.
Perfectly complementing the horse cross pendant are amazing ombre Mexican fire agate gemstone discs. Mexican fire opal is a variety of opal with natural colors that range from very dark orange to clear, with about every shade of orange in between. To add even more fiery elegance, each disc is faceted for incredible sparkle. Since the fire opal discs are hand cut, they are similar in size but not exactly the same. Color blocked groupings of fire opals are separated by small sterling silver beads. To finish the one of a kind necklace, an artisan made Thai Hill Tribes fine silver toggle clasp set with stamped flowers was used. Carefully designed by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the ETERNAL LOVE cross and horse necklace is a definite eye catcher for the woman who adores exquisite cross jewelry with unique symbolism.
