Greek Cross Earrings, Mykonos Turquoise Patina Pink Handmade Jewelry

What a wonderful gift for the woman who loves unique cross jewelry! The STAVROÚS handmade earrings feature rustic, two-sided Mykonos Greek cross charms, dusty rose pink Czech glass spacers, faceted aqua Czech glass rondelles, copper and sterling silver. The two-sided crosses were made in small batches on the Greek island of Mykonos, cast from lead free metal with a thick copper coating. A rich turquoise patina was applied to bring out the details of the crosses and then polished off leaving the raised areas shining with a wonderful copper glow. There are five raised circles on each side of each cross. The middle one larger (representing the Almighty) and the four smaller ones found on each arm of the crosses. The patina finish is always a bit irregular on Mykonos pieces but also similar as you can see in the photos. Please note: the patina on one cross looks a bit lighter than the other, but in real life, they look almost exactly the same. Since the crosses are two-sided, the earrings look fabulous from any angle when worn.
Complementing the Mykonos crosses perfectly are eye-catching Czech glass discs and faceted Czech glass rondelles. The glass discs, two stacked above each cross, are a lovely dusty rose pink color with a brown spotted Picasso finish with the addition of a glowing metallic luster. A dark aqua rondelle with a metallic Picasso finish is found above each disc, separated by a handmade copper spacer from Ethiopia. Since the rondelles are translucent, the glow beautifully when the earrings are worn. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the unique earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the STAVROÚS earrings are beauties that will be worn time and time again. “Stravoús” is Greek for “crosses.”
