The exquisite PAPILLON handmade butterfly wing earrings, perfect for spring and summer wear, will definitely make you smile every time you put them on due to their colorful beauty! The one of a kind earrings feature artisan hand painted copper butterfly wings charms, faceted Czech glass beads, copper and sterling silver. The mirror-image butterfly wings were individually artisan created from precious metal copper clay. They were hand painted in a rich melange of spring and summer hues: rich aqua blue, cheerful yellow and grass green with orange and aqua blue dots. The warm glow of copper shows through along the veins of the wings and along the edges. To seal the colors for years of wear, an ice resin was painted on the front giving the dangles a shiny finish. The back of the butterfly wing charms are unpainted and slightly patterned with the design from the front side.
Above each wing charms are found faceted aqua and clear Czech glass beads and frosted yellow Czech glass discs, perfect complements to the dangles. The faceted Czech beads are a combination of translucent aqua glass and clear glass, adding wonderful eye interest . . . and amazing glow when the earrings are worn. Because they are faceted, they sparkle subtly. Separated by a small copper daisy spacer, the frosted yellow glass discs are also translucent, radiating sunny light. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the lovely earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the PAPILLON butterfly wing earrings are a perfect gift for the woman who loves the gossamer beauty of butterflies and also adored wearing one of a kind artisan jewelry!
